MEVATEC helped Johnson High School design, build and launch a "mile high" rocket. We provided engineering experience, computers and financial aid to help the students complete the student development rocket. Johnson High School was also responsible for the design and fabrication of the payload for all three of the competing rocket designs. In addition, the Johnson students selected, purchased and programmed the rocket data acquisition board for the three competing student rockets which recorded acceleration and altitude of the rockets during the launch competition. The hard working students received the following awards:
1st Place - Payload Design (Uncooked Egg in Styrofoam package)
2nd Place - Altitude (3200 feet)
3rd Place - Flight Readiness Review
