Experience
Senior Management / Technical Staff Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Must have either:  (A) a Masters or doctorate degree in engineering, science, business or a field relevant to the task area and twelve (12) plus years professional experience in general engineering, or field related to the support area in which the individual is performing and must include (5) years experience directly in the task area(s) and two (2) years in a leadership capacity; or (B) seventeen (17) plus years professional experience in general engineering, or a field related to the task area, to include five (5) years experience directly in the task area(s) and two (2) years in a leadership capacity.
Senior Engineer / Scientist Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Twelve (12) years experience in general engineering or other field related to the support area in which the individual is performing and must include (5) years experience directly in the task area(s). A Masters or doctorate degree may be substituted for a total of two (2) years experience.  Requires demonstrated successful performance of lead responsibility for major tasks.  Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Engineer/Scientist Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Five (5) years experience in one or more technological areas directly related to the task area(s).  A Masters or doctorate degree may be substituted for a total of two (2) years experience. Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Senior System Analyst Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Eight (8) years experience in general engineering or other field related to the support area in which the individual is performing and must include (5) years experience directly in the task area(s).  A Masters or doctorate degree may be substituted for a total of two years experience. Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Systems Analyst Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing.  Three years applicable experience which demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge in areas related to the task area(s). Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Management Analyst Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in engineering, science, business administration, industrial management, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Seven years professional experience in areas directly related to the task area(s).  A Masters or doctorate degree may be substituted for a total of two (2) years experience. Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Programmer Analyst  Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Five years of professional experience in computer programming, design and development, and/or analysis. Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Associate Engineer/Analyst  Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Ten years of additional experience in areas related to the support area in which the individual is performing may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Administrative High school diploma or equivalent.  This is an inclusive category and should include typists, clerks, secretaries, illustrators, and other direct support to the functional labor categories.  
Principal Investigator Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution required in an engineering, science, or other field relevant to the support area in which the individual is performing. Twenty-five (25) years experience in general engineering or other field related to the support area in which the individual is performing, to include fifteen (15) years of experience directly related to the area of support.  A masters or doctorate degree may be substituted for two years of general experience.  An additional 6 years of directly related experience may be substituted for a degree not in a related field, making the requirements twenty-five (25) general and twenty-one (21) directly related experience.  The experience is to include a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership capacity.
Technical Specialist A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.  A college dectree is preferred but not required. Must have a demonstrated area of technical specialty  and requires a minimum of fifteen (15) years direct experience in that area.  The technical specialty must be in an area needed to support the task.  Formal technical training in the area of expertise may be substituted for experience on a one-on-one basis.
Senior Technician A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A highly skilled individual with a minimum of ten (10) years direct experience in a key area of  technical expertise needed to support the task area.  The individual must provide the highly skilled expertise needed to support task areas such research, design, development, testing, manufacturing process improvement or other fields of tasking. Formal Technical training in the area of expertise may be substituted for experience on a one-to-one basis.
Technician A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A highly skilled individual with a minimum of five (5) years direct experience in a key area of technical expertise needed to support the task area.  The individual must provide the highly skilled expertise needed to support task areas such as research, design, development, testing, manufacturing process improvement or other fields of tasking.  Formal Technical training in the area of expertise may be substituted for experience on a one-to-one basis.
Apprentice Technician A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. The apprentice technician will provide direct support to the more senior technicians in their key areas of expertise such as research, design, development, testing, manufacturing process improvements or other fields.
Subject Matter Expert   For purposes of this contract, the government will define a subject matter expert to be an individual who is highly skilled in, or extremely knowledgeable of, a specific space or defense technology, technical, or operational area.  These technology areas include, but are not limited to, propulsion, optics, radar, directed energy, and communications.
