David received his U.S. Army commission in May of 2004 through the Reserve Officer Training Course at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is currently serving as a platoon leader in C Company, 926th Combat Heavy Engineer Battalion in the U.S. Army Reserve. David graduated with a bachelors degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. He has over four years experience with high fidelity 3D modeling and simulations as well as software development. David is currently lead developer of BAE System's SITL training program.

Having started his career when the Internet was in its commercial infancy, Shannon has been in the Internet/Intranet application developing field through much advancement in the applicable technology. After graduating from the University of Alabama, Shannon started off his career as a web designer for a publishing company in the public sector establishing web presences and developing content management applications and strategies. He then moved on to first help grow a web design start-up company, and then founded his own web application development house. Now within the government contractor arena, Shannon continues to develop his skills with new technologies to provide clients solutions that are beneficial, secure, and stable as well as extensible. Shannon has supported contracts with MDA and GMD, while developing possible solutions for other DoD agencies.

Melanie Hawkins

Melanie serves as a Project Lead for Management Services managing software solution efforts for multiple customers. Currently, Melanie leads the design, development, test and implementation of a web-based application for proactive management of risk associated with COTS Obsolescence. She also manages training support projects in the implementation of multimedia and graphical solutions in support of formal classroom and computer based training (CBT). Other areas of expertise include providing assistance to the NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center Directorates/Offices in their development of strategic plans, visions and mission statements. Melanie has served as the lead analyst supporting Navy A-76 Cost Comparisons dealing with full cost comparison, streamlined cost comparison, and direct conversion. In addition, Melanie supported the development and testing of the on-line (web-based) win.COMPARE2 training product for DoD use. Melanie was also BAE SYSTEMS' e-Learning Portal project lead managing the design, development, test, and implementation of online training services comprised of Competitive Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing and Change Management training modules and Ask-the-Instructor capability.

Formal art, engineering, and computer science schooling provides John with the variety of tools necessary to deliver a full, well-rounded solution. Whether it’s a web-based application, multimedia presentation, or hardware design, John has been an important part of a number of unique projects. In the past, he has played a lead role in software development for the US Army, and has worked on a Video Production team for customers like The US Space and Rocket Museum and US Army. Currently he is the lead engineer of a classroom training system for soldiers of an Army Air Defense Missile System to be deployed in the near future.

Stan is an experienced technical project consulting manager within the commercial and government contracting arenas. His experience covers the breadth of the software engineering lifecycle including project management, design, development, testing, support, and training. His successes have provided customers with both client-server and web-based, enterprise-wide knowledge management solutions. In addition, Stan has also managed organizations and departments through successful ISO 9001 certifications. Stan currently serves as Deputy Director of the Information Management Engineering organization which designs and implements knowledge management solutions for various DoD and aerospace programs. Stan provides project management as well as design and testing leadership for the implementation and maintenance of the MDA Assurance Metrics System developed for the Missile Defense Agency’s Safety, Quality and Mission Assurance directorate (MDA QS). Stan also provides support and leadership as the ISO Quality Coordinator for Management Services.

Heidi Rose

Ms. Rose has nineteen years of experience working with the Department of Defense, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Missile Defense Agency. Her areas of expertise include: All aspects of software application development, test and management; database development and management; software training; program management and planning and earned value management. She has served as the lead on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) studies, as the developer of the Operations Research Cost Analysis Tool (ORCA), and as a lead for program planning and earned value management development for various projects.

Ms. Rose received her BS in Computer Information Systems and Accounting at the University of North Alabama, and her MBA at Vanderbilt University.
