PEARLE is envisioned as a decision tool utilizing the Post-Engagement Ground Effects Model (PEGEM) data to support consequence mitigation and management applications. PEARLE will be a fast running system analysis and visualization tool for the prediction of intercepted or non-intercepted threats such as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high explosives (CBRNE.) PEARLE will also serve as a front line, 1st responder tool to assist in population protection assessments, decontamination resource allocation, triage estimates and asset placement decisions.

PEARLE Interfaces

PEARLE utilizes weather data, INTEL data, TADIL-J communication, Tactical data and operator input.  PEARLE will reduce and display pertinent data to support efficient and effective decision making.

PEARLE will support

  • Planning
  • Prediction
  • Consequence Management
  • Consequence Mitigation
  • Fire Control

PEARLE will consider uncertainty such as weather, missile launch location, and the missile trajectory. Weather causes the highest amount of uncertainty. PEARLE will reduce this amount of uncertainty by utilizing as many sources as possible such as historical weather data, weather servers, weather from INTEL, and weather forecasts. PEARLE will track the missile trajectory cone of uncertainty from the initial predicted launch location to termination at intercept or impact.

    PEARLE assisting in Consequence Management

PEARLE will be developed using a modular architecture and utilizing the latest technology available. PEARLE will leverage off existing tools such as PEGEM to speed development. To achieve near instantaneous performance, processing will have the ability to be distributed across multiple CPUs and GPUs.
